The 2019-2020 MotherFucking Season Thread

Ok...so weird question: some trades came with conditional picks, and some of those conditions were around games played, goals, etc (ie: Jack Campbell and the 6th win that changed the 3rd to a 2nd). Do the teams have a grievance, now that the League has intervened in the opportunity for that to play out? Lucic looked like he may have actually gotten within 10 of Neal since Neal hasn't scored since December, and Lucic is on a bit of a heater (well, for Lucic, 4 goals in the last month is a "heater"). On the flip side, Neal only had to get 2 more to hit 21 and make it work. Guessing the NHL will say "Deal with it", but just a curiosity.
 
They gotta just go with the literal read. Even if they played, there’s no guarantee they’d have gotten any points or wins.
 
Interesting that the only difference there between Eichel and Mitch is Eichel played in the NHL his D+1 season. Same for Willy vs Reinhart, Ekblad (though based on the eye test WAR seems to punish dmen with high QoC) and Ehlers.

Got legit top 5 players in 4 out of 5 draft years, including a runwaway #1.

That will show up on the ice as these guys hit their primes, which they haven't yet.
 
Looking at just last 3yrs to cut out the years missed due to players just not being in the league yet.

..I'm gonna asterisk the guys who have been used mostly in depth roles and not in frontline roles who I would lower their war for quality of competition...

Ah ok, I think I remember it being discussed now actually. I generally don't really care about players' personal lives but just thought it was interesting.

Sign their future son to a contract right now. He'll be the greatest skater who ever lived.

Yeah, I don't give much of a fuck either. I do though remember upsetting Zeke by suggesting that Mo could do better.

Agreed on signing any son now. If there is a freakish elite skating gene, that little guy is going to have it. McDavid level speed with Mitch edges.
 
Rielly can definitely, definitely do better. Like this girl is not in the ballpark of what a rich young popular athlete should get.
