LOL. Seems like a dumb pick, but then, everything else on Edmonton's exposed list looks like hot garbage.

I guess Vegas does need to ice a minor-league team too. Or since he's an RFA, they may just not bother giving him a qualifying offer.

Really thought Miller might be buried on Vegas, making it more likely he gets shipped. But... I don't know. I think Vegas might be happy to keep him. He may very well be their top pair rhd. Don't think it would be cheap to get him. Have to compete with other teams too... Who knows what it would take.
 
Not sure how many teams have a true appreciation for Miller. Not everyone is still on board with metrics like the Leafs are.

The market may not be a big as you think
 
Miller's metrics are interesting but he's probably the most shielded D in the game. Least amount of d zone face offs.

I really don't like how they played their hand with Minnesota.

But I like them in goal, and they are unspectacular but solid on D.

Forwards are going to have a tough time generating offense.

We'll need to see how they refine the roster with trades.
 
Bruins writer Joe Haggerty tweeting that it appears Vegas has taken Miller with the intent to flip him to another team "like the Leafs".

With the further rumors that Markov won't be tendered an offer yeah, I wonder who the heck is going to play D.
 
I think he's saying if we get Miller that is 3 guys from the 2012 5th round
