Just going for the alternate ending response. Seems like everyone is always the victim.

I am surprised though, my hit / miss ratio around here is pretty damn good. Staggering on occasion. I think the only thing I've been wrong about on these boards was that Fisher would make the Olympic team, but even that's not my fault. He should have.
 
Always the victim? It takes two for something to go wrong by all accounts. When something very obviously isn't working, both parties should at least make an effort to salvage things if they truly care about the other person and the relationship.
 
^not saying you didn't but I hate people who piss and moan about their relationship going down the tubes when zero work went into fixing what was broken.

Fisher would have been the Rob Zamuner of the 2010 Olympics. An indefensible, inexcusable choice. Hell, people were piping mad that the far superior Bergeron made the roster. And he's a 70 point player combined with Selke Trophy quality two-way ability, not a 40 pointer like Fisher.
 
Haha, well, you've gotta love that Johnny's sticking to that absolutely ridiculous argument almost a couple of years after the fact. That's dedication. Honestly, at the time, I thought the idea that Mike Fisher deserved to be on the Canadian Olympic team was so stupid that Johnny was definitely just trolling us. I'm still half-convinced that he's just continuing on with a long-term troll.

And yeah, Bergeron had no business being on the team either, but Bergeron on his worst day is better than Fisher on his best.
 
It is not permitted to be a fan of another team in my household. Grounds for divorce and disavowal of offspring.
 
I wish that my fiancee was a Hab fan but it's not so bad that she's a Penguin fan. I think it's great that she's as big of a hockey fan as I am. Not sure I could handle dating/marrying a non hockey fan.
