I might put in a Knies in a deal to Nashville for Ekholm as long as I get Tanner Jeannot.

Who says no?
 
seems like Ekholm is our move. replaces Muzzin and then some. wouldn't be a rental, and we can probably get retention. Trick will be doing it without giving up Knies, which we shouldn't for a 33 year old player.
 
Are they looking at a similar package for Muzz? 1st, Niemela, Kerfoot , Voit?

Cant see Nashville willing to retain with term but they have to ask
 
And there’s the reason.

Naturally any trade for an upgrade will appeal to my emotional side because it should add to our chances to win, but objectively I really don’t want to see an Ekholm deal. We don’t need D, and we don’t need older D, and definitely not one we have to pay a great young D plus more to get. This trade would be short sighted and fucking stupid. Please don’t let it happen. Go for a forward.
