The Fucking Season Thread - Redemption Tour '22

Why would they make him available? He's cheapish and pretty good. Why would we pay their cost for him (he's cheap and good) when we already have too many good LHD in the organization?

Isn't this the team that just dumped Conor Garland, who could be described the same way and ended up getting paid pretty much the same kind of money as Chychrun?

I'm not sure you can apply logic & reason to their moves.

Since we're speaking about that, how the f*** did we get Bunting for only 950k for TWO years. Still mindboggling to me. I know the pull for a Scarborough boy must've been fairly strong but that's pretty absurd still.

These Arizona moves are starting to look like a team that’s given up and don’t want whoever takes over to be any good either.

They moved a good player to get rid of OEL and his massive albatross contract. It definitely wasn't a dump, they did well in that trade imo.

Garland & OEL (6x7.26)for the #9 (Guenther), Eriksson (1x6), Beagle (1x3), Roussell (1x3), 2022 2nd, 2023 7th.

Garland is solid, but 9G 22pts in 31 games isn't the star level performance that some here were projecting him as capable of. That's Bunting (or McCann) production.

Yeah, there are signs this new regime in Arizona knows what they're doing.

Chychrun beasted last year, but has been pretty bad this year. Rumours this week that he could be had if the price is right, he's been untouchable until now.

They want as high a pick as possible these next 2 drafts. So either there's a concerning reason why they changed their mind, or they've decided that he hurts their chance at landing #1 and therefore willing to move him if they receive full value in return.
