The Fucking Season Thread - Redemption Tour '22

Postpone until we get fully healthy (Marner). I’m good with that.

Also, other than the concern of rust setting in, having this long layoff could be fantastic for our goalies.
 
A few more regulars (Kerfoot, Simmonds & Spezza) are back from the Covid-19 list today:





We’re at the point now where we can field a decent group of forwards, but the D & goaltending is still pretty grim.
 
Obvious solution is Ritchie on d. We all really need to watch him attempt to skate backwards. There is about a 0% chance he knows how to do it.
 


Thing is with 5 days before the next game a bunch more will be back.

Date put on protocols (return date in brackets):

17th: Tavares (26th), Kerfoot (27th), Spezza (27th), Simmonds (27th)

18th: Brodie, Campbell, Dermott
19th:
20th:
21st: Kampf, Mrazek, Mikheyev, Sandin
22nd:
23rd: Rielly
24th: Nylander
25th:
26th: Muzzin


So if we're looking at ~10days to clear then Campbell Brodie and Dermott should definitely be back next game and probably Kampf Mrazek Mikheyev and Sandin too. That's assuming that none of them got really sick.

But Rielly, Willy, and Muzzin will definitely miss a couple more games.

The thing is if they bring back Mitch I don't know how the team fits under the cap.

Maybe if Sandin's knee is still injured they can move him to ltir.
