The Fucking Season Thread - Redemption Tour '22

Let's not forget.... Muzz is a pretty good player. I get that his injury have all of you salivating about adding three superstars but he's a key piece and might not be 100% come playoff time
He hasn't been 100% Muzz all year tbh and I'm a huge Muzz fan. If they can grab a Giordano, you immediately replace Muzzin's defensive ability (with possibly even some improvement there) so they can absorb a lesser Muzzin when he returns because he probably wouldn't be on the shutdown pair anymore.

It's all dream stuff, I know. But that's half the fun of sports!

Haven't followed the action this year, but he got a couple past Pricer in the post last year, which is more than I can say about half your stars

But yeah, this may be his best way to provide "value" this year

It's my biggest concern about this whole thing. I don't doubt they can easily find a star forward rental. You've got a large supply of them out there. On d it's.. Giordano and... Giordano? Price may be high and it'll be a bidding war that they may not win. Not sure I'd be interested in any other name available. I only see Gio as a genuine Muzz replacement out of the names discussed. So yes, there's risks and uncertainty. But if they get the right d, it's go-time.

$3.5M instead of $4.8M and Fleury instead sounds good to me.

But at what cost? I really don't want to spend assets there and not land the deals I consider more important.

Then again, maybe Chicago wants Mrazek for the extra two years, and is losing Fleury anyway, so they're picking up a goalie for free.

That could be value enough for them and may not require us paying them much of anything.
