The Fucking Season Thread - Redemption Tour '22

It's the new version of the standings, custom made for this very moment so that we can cope with the teams failures. Of course, there's no mention of their schedule difficulty, which has been hilariously soft thus far.
What are you saying? We played Pittsburgh, which is stacked with future HOFers on its roster.

That is what makes the system failure thus far so puzzling. How can they go from defensive dynamos last season to the Washington Generals this season while playing similar teams

If they walk into Tampa and Boston running into each other its going to be a blood bath

If you're referring to the xgf% rankings, then the schedule there hasn't been soft at all.

While I understand the idea of teams that have won cups after multiple disappointments did not trade core pieces. no, none of the core should be moved right now, I do think we need to keep in mind how fucking good and deep that Lightning team was the past 2 years, We are not really the same as them or have that same upside. I would vote Tampa's team last year as the deepest and most talented in the cap era. Not really sure we are on the cusp of anything here. We have a lot working against us a team like Tampa did not.

That said, if we get health, bounces for once in the playoffs we can take a run.

It's good not to panic, yes. It's also good to be realistic.

The turf Kerf movement. I mean, what is his presence or exclusion really going to do for us one way or the other. We don't get by on him, or suffer without him.

We can search for reasons all we want but they're staring us in the face. Our most expensive guys are playing like they're AHL level bums who don't know how to score. You can fire whoever you want, trade and waive any or all of the supporting cast, but if the Big 4 aren't putting up numbers, we're not winning. Plain and simple. That is the problem they need to solve.
