Especially when he didn't even trade his 1st to do it.Firing anyone after winning the cup would be dumb.
If we lose Dubie, we go back to the stone age (i.e., the ghost of Harold Ballard will run the team again). He does everything else really well and I fear for his replacement coming in and destroying the roster because change fixes everything
Oh I'm running under the assumption that they're a package deal and both would be gone. But even then, some here (including you!) theorized that he has been behind the gudpro additions to the roster in recent years. If he is feeling the pressure from the higher ups and for whatever reason they move on from dubas, I don't think they'll bring in another dubas to replace him. No chance.Shanahan is the ultimate hockey person
But it's hard to justify firing the guy after a season like this. Won't happen imo.
I think Keefe should be a goner first. especially if you're talking "respect"
I get Anglo Therrien vibes from him. I think the team can do better.
Agree. Shanny won't fire dubas I don't think. If dubas is fired they're both gone. And it'll be symbolic as a failure of a data driven approach to roster construction. They wouldn't bring in another dubas. They just won't.I do think Shanny has some gudpro love. But many organizations (not just in sports) have these push/pull debates.
If they get embarrassed in the first round, yeah maybe. Otherwise, he stay. They all stay.exactly....
Keefe is more vulnerable IMO
I do find it funny how Keefe is never mentioned in Adams conversations yet we see names like Gallant, Sullivan, McClellan etc
Meanwhile he coached them to a top 4 finish with bottom feeder goaltending for 75% of the season
