Yeah, this sounds right.

And Jack will either get lit up, or he’ll let in a goal from behind the other team’s icing line like Toskala did, to further bolster all of the “sHouLda kEPt fReD!!” commentary.
 
This lull will pass like it always does but the continuous inconsistent effort level from the top talent is the more glaring issue

Dubas has some big decisions on his plate this season. He either continues to double down on his core and likely goes down with the ship or he has to fire a shot across the bow of the core players
 
All we needed to see this year was a consistent effort in spite of any adversity so that they are ready and able bring it every game in the playoffs.

It pisses me off Canes can have such a shit offseason and be off to such a great start. That moronic owner called all the shots.
 
I mean if Fred keeps this up and Ned continues to be shit I'd say they nailed the goaltending bit at the very least.

I mean, look at Ned's career.. Nothing in that tells me he'd be a quality goalie so last year being an outlier shouldn't be a shock. I tried to make this point in the summer. I totally get that as an outsider the better, higher reward bet would be the younger guy but you can't discount the fact that they may have known. They've seen him play more than anyone.
 
You'd like to think they'd respond well to being absolutely embarrassed on Saturday but think everything we've seen so far suggests they're fragile as fuck.
 
They should have been so fired up after being shit on non stop all summer but they've looked unmotivated and lazy as fuck.
