man I really wish they would go all-in on this. take it to the extreme to the point the league HAS to do something.

bench the core four next time against Winnipeg. when asked why, 'well this team has a history of trying to injure our star players and the league has shown they will not protect them so we are taking matters into our own hands'.

call up all the goons and put them out for the opening face off.

don't think anything less will ever result in any type of change of course or reaction from the league.

If Dubas doesn't say something to the media, he's becoming part of the problem on this. We should be shaming the league hard for not protecting our star players, and then not allowing us to protect ourselves.
 
Honestly, Dubas does have to take a fine and say something. the Leafs are WAY too soft in how they speak about the league. they make more money than any team and Bettman cares more for the Coyotees.

That Matthews sequence is wild. He needs to throw down there, though. All the big boys snap from time to time. Mario did. Mats did. I’ve seen kopitar, Sid and Malkin do it. Sometimes you gotta play angry.
