We play them once more in Toronto March 31. They will have played in Buffalo the first game of a back-to-back, and hopefully they are in a dogfight for the Central wildcard.

I agree, he's gotta be meaner, they all do, but what's Marner going to do if a guy Dubois's size comes calling?

There has to be a mean, tough, psycho element added here. We're too nice. I love that we're that way, but this punk ass league won't let us get away with playing a clean game.

To his credit, he tried. When some equally big guy is smashing you and smothering you from behind, it's hard to get around to face him. But he did sort of flip him around and get at him a bit.
 
I mean, yeah, if Dubas could get a guy who's a fucking psycho and can pot almost 20 PP goals in a season, like Tucker... obviously.

Big no thanks to scrubs for the sake of facepunching. I'm not sure we've ever actually seen them be a deterrent like everyone claims.

Assuming that the two points aren’t critical for us, and I doubt they will be, I’d definitely be on board with dressing every knuckle dragger in the organization and giving them explicit instructions to take runs at Hellebuyck and Winnipeg’s best players at every opportunity.

Would be pretty fun to leave them with a gaping hole in their lineup shortly before the playoffs start.

But it's been years that we've been missing this element. It's time to find it.

Smiling Matty has no place on my team, but I didn't see that same reaction there. He was pissed but also trying to save face a bit for having this shithead manhandle him from behind like a fucking pussy.

Another Cunting would be a great way to address it. A bigger version who is more willing to follow through with some punishment, not just the harassment.
 
See, how this is supposed to work is other teams play dirty, they get penalized and we punish them on the PP but since this league is trash, now we're talking about icing non-NHL players and making their product shittier.

Go NHL.
 
Anyway I wouldn't overreact to this one game. Their playoff failures have nothing to do with lack of psychopaths.

I know in the NHL you need some rule breakers in your lineup but I think they should have enough of them now. Just need the big boys to show up in the playoffs and they'll be fine. Should still obviously add to the lineup up front at the deadline but it doesn't have to be a psycho IMO.

Was just going to post this.

I question whether they should have even played the game last night. If weather was a reasonable excuse to reschedule the game, and why the team chose to bus rather than fly.. I say we should have cancelled. Back-to-back, OT/SO in Minny, shaky back-up - why all the effort to push north in a bus?
