The Fucking Season Thread - Redemption Tour '22

I mean, yeah, if Dubas could get a guy who's a fucking psycho and can pot almost 20 PP goals in a season, like Tucker... obviously.

Big no thanks to scrubs for the sake of facepunching. I'm not sure we've ever actually seen them be a deterrent like everyone claims.
so, I still think you 'make a spectacle' of it by benching all your studs and icing a roster of Kurtis Gabriels. throw the game and seek fucking physical punishment and retribution.

then of course the Leafs get fined and all but I don't think any action is taken by the league until teams take their policies to their logical endpoints... (i.e. increasing violence)

Yeah Cunting is a solid upgrade in cuntiness over Hyman. He makes them a lot harder and more annoying to play against.
he is not nearly dirty enough and does not attempt to injure enough to be what we seem to need though.

I almost agree with LOF here. is it crazy to just sacrifice a roster spot/game on a absolute fucking maniac who can almost sorta kinda play? someone convince me why this is a bad idea... cause I'm at the point where the league obviously ain't gonna do anything to resolve this, so the solution has to be internal. and I don't know what that is unless it is Matthews decapitates Dubois. which I would be okay with.

See, how this is supposed to work is other teams play dirty, they get penalized and we punish them on the PP but since this league is trash, now we're talking about icing non-NHL players and making their product shittier.

Go NHL.
the only problem with your theory is that at some point the violence became the product...

CJ just said he heard 2-3 weeks for sandin
I mean good news if so but I'm still annoyed he has to miss any time at all given how well he had been playing.

and this is not the first time Pionk has taken a dirty run in just the handful of Jets games I've watched the past couple years...little POS

"The NHL is a shit league" ain't a theory, just an opinion. I don't tune in to see two teams in an arms race to ice the most shitty goons. I guess some people do, but fuck that. Gabriel isn't an NHLer, Clune isn't an NHLer. It only makes it easier less talented teams to beat us again, IMO.

oh we agree here.

it just seems like the NHL wants to showcase violence over skill.

parity and Kraft hockeytown and all...

is a goon still in charge of player safety cuz that should be the first clue the nhl doesn't want to get rid of this stuff.
