Ive been hearing Connor Garland too, but i dont buy it.

I also wonder what bit of difference this last bit of scouting makes for established brands.
 
CJ says he's pretty sure leafs will trade for a LHD. Huge scoop, I know. I guess that leaves Gio, Soucy, Lindholm, Chychrun (probably unlikely) as the main options.
 
Friedge mentioned Lindholm from Anaheim should be a target.

I think they really just want an all round solid defenseman.

I know some here have also laughed about the idea of Lybushkin with Reilly,

But he has been playing with Chykryn most of the year and if he can focus on just being a stay at home defenseman and cover up some of Rielly's mistakes. See how it plays.

Sandin, Lill/Derm/Muzzin or another pick up.

Seems like Lindholm is kinda like OEL, where he was great early in his career and plays on a shitty team no one cares about, so no one noticed that he hasn't been good in a long time. Feel like he would cost a 1st, and if we are giving up those kinds of assets they should go after chyrchrun.

Yeah, I don’t have much interest in any of those Ducks D-men.

I think you’re right that it’s questionable how good they really are at this point, and that you’d be overpaying on the basis of the ridiculous over-hyping they all got early in their careers.

Those players in markets no one watches get so overrated. The OEL hype was ridiculous. That Ducks D, damn. Heard so many great things. They've never shown it
