The Fucking Season Thread - Redemption Tour '22

I mean the last thing they need is another Kerfoot/Kase/Mikheyev/Engvall caliber player. They need to go after a clear upgrade on those types or it's just not worth spending assets on them because you'll largely be replacing Kerf's icetime with Domi. Is that really that much of an upgrade? Plus he's a one dimensional softy too who got demoted to the 4th line in the playoffs on a shitty Habs team. No thanks.
 
Yeah, i would be fine with Domi in free agency if he was willing to come home for cheap cheap. He would be a good alternative to Kerfoot at 1/3rd the cost in that scenario. But bring him here now, taking up real cap space, as a deadline deal? Nah, aim higher.

As much as I’m not a fan of the Dummi clan or hopeful about Max’s potential as a player, yeah, if he wants to sign a dirt cheap ($1M or less) 1-2 year UFA deal in the hopes that he can be the next Michael Bunting, have at it.
 
Anyone see that article by Kevin Papetti that the leafs should take a run at Soucy on the Kraken.

6'5 defenseman that has played on the right this year but can go back and forth. He showed his numbers and they weren't too bad. 2.75 for next year as well.

I like those type of scenarios, where you can try to fill in multiple holes with the cap space available.

I also "kinda" like the Domi idea, but I kind of want a bonafide power forward for the left side.

Can the leafs use more physicality? Well yes but it needs to be able to play the game of hockey.

Sometimes if I'm in the car listening to a game on my way home from somewhere, I'll hop in the car the next morning and accidentally hear Zigomanis or Colaiacovo or whatever former Toronto meathead has cashed in on a radio gig and this is always my reaction too.

Although I did accidentally catch MJ do a spot the other day and I'll listen to him talk hockey any day.
 
Kyper and Bourne are absolutely ridiculous. The only reason I listen occasionally is because they only talk hockey and overdrive often spends 20 minutes talking about guys needing their salad fixed with their tarp off and a feed bag on over their boiler maker .

I sort of like that about overdrive. They don't know dick about sports so at least say stupid shit and be entertaining. And sometimes they are.
