The Fucking Season Thread - Redemption Tour '22

Oil squeak into a wild card, Gregor and friends claim they wouldnt be close without the heroics of Drai or McDavid so they are the real MVP
 
I think the Canucks will pass the Oilers and they might not even make the playoffs.

But if the season ended today with the players and teams at their current places in the standings and leaderboards I think Auston would win it.

And I think Auston will look even better on the leader boards by the end of the season
 
Woodcroft has them playing well but their Achilles still seems to be goaltending. I think they may a strong push and get in at the end
 
The way Matthews is going, he might win the Rocket & the Art Ross. 1st and starting to create some breathing space for the Rocket, 4th and gaining ground fast in the Art Ross race (7 points back). Him finally starting to get recognized for the elite 2 way centre that he is will push him to the top of most ballots if this keeps up. Gotta figure he's going to make a lot of Selke ballots this season too.

Marner has quietly snuck into 19th in scoring as well, despite a few horrific stretches of play by his standard this season.

A few? Basically everything up until like 15 games ago when he blasted off. Zeke said he had like a billion points when he had 6 in his first 3 or so, and now he’s getting 6 in one! Trillions. But still, VERY overpaid.

Marners been at a 48g/123pt per 82gp pace since Nov 1.
 
I always assume "I was wondering" or whatever else they say is because they have heard it from one source but haven't been able to get enough confirmation to state it as a rumor.

That's the beautiful thing about it being a rumour, it can be based off of what one relatively well placed source says. If they're repackaging that because they're afraid that calling something a rumour legitimizes it, they're way over thinking it all. Just attach the old "league sources" tag to what your buddy told you and keep it moving.

Or if you don't really trust the source, be like Bobo and keep it to yourself.

From talking with TFC people generally 1 source isn't enough for them to report something as a "Rumor"
 
Accidentally listened to some talk radio in the car this morning and they were all freaking out about how terrible our defense is and I’m not sure how that was their takeaway from Saturday personally
 
they can conceivably carry three goalies and have big $$ to spend provided muzzin stays out. Unless there isn’t a guy out there or a team holds them over the coals I’m not sure there is a situation where they don’t bring in a goalie.
