Yeah I don't really doubt that the truth was pretty much told. Shanny laid it all out like that partially because it was supposed to cut out any speculation but here we are.

I'm more interested in the behind the scenes dynamic. Where did that young "what does safe even mean?" guy go? The type that would have hated the bogosian boosh's and schenn's. Was it him buckling under the pressure and adapting to more old school tendencies because it's what he thought was right after a series of team failures? (Most likely imo). Or was it a result of pressure from above? Was that pressure always there?
