The Mother-fucking goddamn Off-season Thread

Keeping everyone and re-shaping the depth is the way. They can do way the fuck better with 5.6m than Yarnfoot. Or acquiring 9d to only have 10 NHL caliber forwards in the playoffs. A little more creativity and a different approach and preference of type of player to surround the studs will go a long way.

As for the "they're keeping the depth the same" thing.. I think they'll look pretty different. Bunting and Kerf are likely gone unless Tre said otherwise today?

I'm just saying I'd be disappointed if they brought back most of the same depth.

And I'm kinda confused why people who were apoplectic at the deadline and vs Tampa would wanna run back a lot of the depth too.

Yeah if they keep Kerf and change nothing else I'd be upset for sure. But the apoplectic stuff was because they were so close, made so many trades and ended up with 10d and a lack of quality forwards. I think they should be able to re-shape a lot of those concerns.

Plus they should probably sign Engvall

I'm hoping the chatter about a lot of our UFAs is just their agents feeding Dreger stuff about talking with them generally about their prices.

It doesn’t hurt to talk to them. And I wouldn’t even mind keeping 1 or 2. Acciari in particular.

But a bottom 6 overhaul is needed. Can’t have a half a forward group with no skill.

The only way it doesn’t hurt to talk to Kerfoot is if Treliving’s calling him once a day for the sole purpose of reminding him he’s a soft, milquetoast bitch who sucks.

I'd agree with that.

Acciari interests me and so does ROR given what's available at C.

Apoplectic only at the very last day of the deadline, after being quite happy going into that last day.

you kinda complained about our play from the deadline right through the tampa series though? weird ugly hockey with bad tactics pretty sure you said? i'm surprised you'd want very little change on depth and also be cool w bringing the same coach back.
