I'm trying to hang tough and pretend I believe that every single one of these rumors are false. But it's hard. Because deep down I know some are probably true. It all sounds like everything dubas has done and would have done this summer. I was hoping for something more fresh than this.

I think I am also trying to do the same. Which is why I asked if we'd heard any good rumours yet.

Not sure we have yet though. Hoping these rumours are agent-pushed.

No, you can stop. It looks terrible. Frenemy reached out today to say that our first rounder is a beast (I still don't know if he was kidding or not) and I engaged for the first time in a year and probably left him in shock that I think the Leafs have been massively disappointing since the deadline and look to be about to nail shut the remainder of this window. In a showing that I haven't lost my grip on reality though, I was clear with him that the Habs are still shit and will have a rebuilt roster that will tread water until it gets blown up 10 years from now.

I think I heard Chris tanev loosely linked? And hanifin? I'm not even 100% on them but it's better than the rest of the guys, yeah. Most are likely agent pushed but there's almost always gonna be some truth sprinkled in as well. There is every year.

At a certain point maybe we have to give in and accept the upcoming doom

Regular season presto is the best presto. Not sure GM mode suits you the best.
 
This basically just means Reaves is peeing his pants wanting to play for the Leafs and is putting the word out there so that the Leafs plan accordingly. I doubt Tre is busy yapping about how bad he wants Reaves on this team.
 
It's just so weird because you'd figure if Tre was rolling with the core 4, he'd be ditching the supporting cast to find a better mix and to put his own stamp on the team.

Couldn't any one of us lunkheads, even Jonas, be able to carry out the apparent mandate of just bringing back the last roster??
