The Mother-fucking goddamn Off-season Thread

Most of y'all were scared he was gonna blow up their cap situation by signing 4th liners to multi years deals at 3m+. We avoided that worst case scenario I think.

He looks like he could be carrying the dubas torch of being unimaginative and overly cautious though.

But the roster has to be filled out one way or another. Lots of time. Moves will be made. Bertuzzi and trading for a big time d would be the prize I think.
 
We could use another Center. Besides a likely overpay of Compher I don’t see anyone else even close to Oreilly.

Bit irritating that some guys who could have really helped and signed short term for cheap are off the board. We know they have $ to play with and know what they allocated for ROR. And that they prioritized gudpro tough guy and signed a useless plug until he’s 39.

Not many ofbthos3 deals handed out, though. My worry now is they pay for compher.
 
Is Bertuzzi even that good? His hockey db is underwhelming and screams of a guy that will be overpaid damaged goods the second he signs. He misses a lot of time every year.

No 36 year old player is the best fighter except on prior reputation. When Xhekaj pushes in his stool on the first shift of next season you'll realize what a colossal waste of cap space this acquisition really was.
