Anyone remember back in the days when we had no star players or #1 center, but we’d eagerly look ahead to the guys that were due to become UFA’s in upcoming off-seasons?

Pushing the “pause” button on our GM search in the hopes a guy who’s not available now might be available a year from now would work out just about as well as that did.

I’m also not really eager to hand the reins over to an interim GM and/or Dubas’s CBA nerd and contracts point-man. This is a massive off-season for this organization and they need a full-fledged GM who’s committed long-term to run it.
