I don’t think he was trying to say the Habs have better depth than the Leafs.

He was just trying to take the fact that the Habs don’t really have any standout lines and distribute their ice-time pretty evenly, and find some way to spin that into a positive for Montreal.

Dumb either way, though.
 
Have to fill the page somehow. Dude's got a job to do and what else is there to talk about? If it was me I'd start rambling about how the Habs only chance is luck and I don't think anyone wants to read that. No one likes knowing that luck plays an important role in hockey because it often only serves to render their hardcore analysis useless. Sometimes the explanation for a particular result is simply luck.

For sure. It was probably an assignment from his editor: “write an article about how the Habs could potentially go about beating the Leafs in this series”.

He did the best he could with the material he had to work with. And he avoided paying you any royalties by not just publishing a two-word article that only says “PrestoLuck™”.
 
Media is all about reaching a certain audience now. It use to be completely different. If you listen to TSN and SN guys in other markets it's quite entertaining hearing them change their views based on where they are.

They care more about the brain-dead fans who think "Grit" is the most important thing ever and Nylander needs to go than the analytics crowd.

I want Matthews and Marner exhausted. The days of Matthews being 'Fresh" after our game 7 losses are over.

back to backs seem pretty rare in the playoffs
i am curious what normally happens with the goalies in back to backs in the playoffs
do teams actually play 2 goalies?
 
So dumb... start the playoffs on Wednesday and who cares if the loser teams are still playing. No bearing what so ever.

Wed, Fri, Sun, .. no need for back to back.

Would we get Primeau?? has CP popped his head up from his hibernation yet?

I honestly can’t even remember ever seeing teams play on back-to-back nights in a playoff series. So, no idea there.

Unless either team is up 3-0 in the series by the time we get to game four though, I think you’re better off just playing your best goalie in both games.
