It’s called punditing on the pundits, or in your case, punditing on the pundits’ pundits. And there’s a huge market for it! (See the World Politics thread for some recent examples.) Don’t give up so easily!

Well he says that the forwards don't care about playing defense. And he has quite literally commented on the Leafs lack of defense and "playing the wrong way" every single year. Multiple times. I don't even think he cares about that quote being anonymous. He has said the exact same thing multiple times publicly, which I do appreciate.
