Think the only way we get Hall is if he tells management we are the only team he’ll go to and drives the price down to trade. Don’t see us matching other teams in terms of futures to make it work.
1st, Anderson, Prospect for eichel Hall. Lol.Have a feeling someone will overpay to get him. Dunno, just a feeling - from a gut without stats like zeke has.
Hope we don’t give up a 1st for him tho, rather use it to get Eichel![]()
Halls NMC will come into play. Suspect his list of teams is limited so the return will be down to a small number of teams.
If there’s double retention on him, don’t we have the space to keep Kerfoot? Because doing so would give us unbelievable depth.Assuming that we do the 3 way trade cap fuckery maneuver and don't have to move a body (Kerfoot) out to bring Hall in, I would try this first:
Hall-Matthews-Marner
Kerfoot-Tavares-Nylander
Mikky-Engvall-Hyman

The only thing that can foil it, and I’d do this if I was Buffalo, is to tell him if he doesn’t waive to go to the team with the best offer, I won’t trade him at all and he can enjoy watching the playoffs on tv.I'll be really surprised if Buffalo gets any kind of impressive package for Hall.
Everything's kind of working against that---Hall's in the middle of the worst statistical season of his career by far, he doesn't have any of the leaderbean/playoff experience type qualities that NHL GM's crave, he'll have a high cap hit even if Buffalo retains 50%, and Hall's NMC likely means there isn't going to be an open bidding war for his services. Not to mention we're in a bizarre pandemic season where people are getting moved in-season even less than usual.
Buffalo will probably play chicken with any interested teams for as long as possible leading up to the deadline, and then they'll finally give in and trade him for the equivalent of a 2nd round pick & a "B" prospect.
