The Motherfucking 2021 Season Thread

I fear Matthews buddy buddy relationship with Freddy played a part in him staying. Thornton's comments about how amazing Fred was at his press conference wasn't helpful either

To be honest, though, I'm not sure how these numbers compare to other teams.

tbh looking at a couple other teams im not sure those numbers are unusual or tell us anything much different than the team sv% does.

nice. hopefully Foligno works out there in a hyman like way, freeing up Hyman to give us that great 3rd line again.

don't love the treatment Engvall is getting but we'll see what happens there.

funny to see the D-pairs back together - guess theres not as much playspace as Keefe thought all of a sudden.

Yeah, not liking the apparent dislike or ambivalence towards Engvall. There’s no way he should be sitting with that bottom six.

I don't mind those lines really. I think I had Foligno and Galchenyuk flipped in my other one but Galchenyuk's looked good to me on both lines really. I prefer Hyman on the third but ironically not for the same reason I might've a few years ago but because they're more of a threat to score that way.

I’m fine with Engvall sitting out. I mostly haven’t been a fan of his work this year, especially at center.

I mean, I don’t really like Kerfoot at center either, but we’re pretty short on extra options, short of Keefe starting to experiment with Nylander in the middle again (though it’s a bit late in the season for that).

And Galchenyuk & Foligno are pretty interchangeable. I’ve liked how Gally’s looked on both the first and second line. They may as well try Foligno on both of those lines as well, especially with Hyman out.
