The Motherfucking 2021 Season Thread

Sounds good.

Hutton, IMO, should purely be the replacement for Marincin as our “break glass in case of emergency” defenseman.

Sandin & Lilly should both be ahead of him to get opportunities, and only if those guys aren’t hacking it (or if further injuries happen) should Hutton draw in.

Lilly? Hello?

Who the **** cares about Hutton, unless it's Timothy, in which case I'm a fan of his early work.

I'm good with Sandin-Dermott on that 3rd pair tbh. I'd like to see Lilly, but if they thing Sandin's puck moving and ability in the offensive zone is a step up from Lilly's and that's what we need, okay.

I want both to get a look. Would be good to know what Mr. Little Grin has and if he can help the team in the playoffs. Would rather find out now and now in game 3 of the conference finals or some shit.

That would be preferable, but we also need to roll into the playoffs as something other than a tire fire on a losing skid. If we can stabilize this shit show and win a couple, by all means start tinkering again.

Yeah Brooks looked way better than Pierre last night. I honestly cussed at Pierre more than any other Leaf I think. He may be a guy where the toolbox never catches up to the tools, sadly.

I think most of us wanted to keep guys hungry in the bottom 6 so I’m pretty happy about this. I’d like to see it apply to some of the older guys too though.

Engvall doesnt have much of any idea of what to do with the puck when he has it. Brooks made as many passes for scoring chances in his best shift last night as I've seen from Pierre in the last month.

and also doesn't have the hands to finish opportunities.

I wonder if Zach is opening a 'convert your feet for hands to hands for hands' school. Mikky and Pierre could really benefit.

Count me in the group that thinks mikky had his surgically removed by a back alley abortionist using a skate blade last year.

What's with the ongoing minor crush on Galchenyuk here?

He's on a 34 pt pace in 17 games playing with some of the best linemates in the world.

Granted, I don't watch many Leaf games but viewing the highlights, I often spot the other team scoring with Galchenyuk on the ice covering nobody. In my admittedly superficial analysis he looks the same as always.

Lots of zip in the o-zone, nothing in the d-zone.
