Thing is, the shit is common in most other sports.

NBA basically invented the term "load management"
Euro football has spent the better part of the last 40 years extending the careers of former stars by resting them for big matches only, keeping them for coming off the bench in matches, etc.
MLB regularly rotates guys into the DH spot to give them most of the day off

NHL...nope, gotta play all 82.

Yeah I will say that line was actually good last night. 2nd pp looked pretty good too.

But the Canucks are/were terrible.
 
Great news on Hyman. I was definitely bracing for "torn ACL, out 4-6 months after surgery".

And yeah...fuck off Thornton. Whatever his personal preference is, I hope Dubas & Keefe have the stones to rotate him in and out of the lineup the rest of the way until the playoffs. Same goes for Simmonds & Spezza too.
 
This would be the point in the season that Quinn would start shuffling lines - preparing everyone for inevitable playoff injuries. Injuries suck - but at least we rotated Nylander back into the line-up.

Hence why I specified Canadian -- something about our hockey culture that resists any change.
