i would have no clue how to rank these...but I admire the courage it takes to look 3 years out and make a prediction
im just looking at the criteria and trying to figure out what they are looking at

Kessel doesnt need to improve. He is already elite. I expect him to put up the same kind of season this year as in 3 years.
Elite top 5 winger type of season.


for the record i have no clue how they see the habs as 5th either
my guess is they overate price, subban and the prospects...and ignore the impact of having no markov (or even older markov)

I'm not an insider. I can only assume we're bottom 10 though. Like every prospect ranking/future watch I can remember for pretty much forever.

Franson peaked at age 25, without even getting a full top-4 chance yet.

Reimer and Bernier have peaked at age 24, despite neither even getting a full season starting opportunity yet.

So in three years we'll be the fourth worst team despite having excellent scoring, fairly decent defence and above average goaltending and management. Why does it feel like Pierre LeBrun helped with this so he could shit on the Leafs anonymously?

you're guessing I have nothing? how about looking at the Leafs current contracts in 3 years, then consider the cap is going up, then make your decision?

seems pretty obvious.
