The New Division

Bartkowski is better defensively than Gardiner will ever be.

Well, I think you're going to need this

Bartkowski is actually a nice skater. Like him quite a bit. But he's not very good defensively.

Sounds like all of the leafs fans concerns (hopes) around the sens revolve around the potential for injuries. Funny stuff.

In fairness, it's pretty likely. Spezza is good for missing about 20 games a season in most years, Michalek about the same.

Sounds like all of Ottawa's hopes rest on Anderson repeating a historically great season last year in limited time, despite him never posting higher than a .917 mark when he's had full-time starting duties in his career.

Funny stuff.

Jays to be fair the same can be said about us, actually prior to last year Ottawa was ahead of us developmentally IMO. Despise all the sens you want but there's no denying they're a solid team, just like the leafs are. A healthy Karlsson, even a 60-65 game version of Spezza, Anderson playing at his career average, Ryan hitting 65-70pts and guys like Mac providing secondary scoring there's no reason they won't make the playoffs.

That being said, I think the Leafs finish ahead of the snores.

Spezza has had plenty of seasons where he missed less than 10 games.

You can't foresee or bank on injuries.

1 of them has occurred in the last 4 seasons though. Can you bank on it? No, you can't. Can you make an educated guess based on recent trends? Absolutely.

Spezza is even more likely to lose some time since he's currently nursing an injury now. I heard groin, not back, but anytime an injury-prone player has a report of an injury, you know it's just a matter of time before he does on the IR.

Fantastic.

I've only said about half a dozen times that they are a playoff team and I have them pegged for 96 or so points.

Spezza has only played more than 60 games four times in ten seasons. He's a walking Mr. Glass.
