And that has absolutely nothing to do with the stated team strategy of holding onto the puck to try and create high percentage shots.
High percentage shots equal a higher shooting percentage? No way. Never would have connected those dots.
So when the Leafs score on a higher % of their shots it is because of their obvious skill and the strategy employed generating a higher % of quality scoring opportunities.
But for the last decade when the Leafs goalies save % sucked donkey balls it was 100% on them and had nothing to do with the players (especially D) lack of ability or the system employed.
Leaf fans are the best.
