No. Our top scorers didn't play with enough toughness, starting with bonk, havlat, and Yashin.
Players play bigger when they know the coach is willing to unleash the ultimate deterrent.
How many goals per game did the Leafs score in that series champ...

Habs fans should chime in on Jacques. They had to deal with him for enough time to have their opinions count on the subject.

If Lalime's one goal he allowed was shitty...like the one Roberts scored in double OT, or the one Sundin scored in OT..then yes, he was the problem.
The Sens generated more goals than the Leafs.
They did so by generating FAR more shots and scoring chances.
They had worse goaltending so they lost the series...not too difficult to figure out, for most people.

Leafs fans like to build up Lalime and downplay Cujo / Belfour because the truth hurts. Their team was complete shit, and won games and series' they had no business winning.
