The New Division

I don't know why we keep wasting time indulging our resident Sens fans in Karlsson discussions. Remember prior to last season? It didn't matter how much praise was heaped on Karlsson by big brother. Little brother still wouldn't accept anything less than a declaration that Karlsson is the most impactful hockey player on planet earth.

Heh

Yeah, he's gone from "most impactful player in the league" to "best on the Sens, Habs, or Leafs" in 12 short months. Next year's conversation is going to be funny.

It's sad how gleeful you are at the hope Karlsson's play stalls because of injury. You truly do hope that happens. The sentiment oozes with everyone of your posts.

The argument hasn't shifted one iota. It's still the same - he's the most impactful defenseman in the game. He was in 2011-2012, he was at the beginning of this season, and he will be next season.

to be fair/accurate ... were you not comparing him to crosby/malkin, etc?

Don't back off your statements now corky. You explicitly stated that he was the most impactful PLAYER in the game.

In terms of injury, I think Karlsson definitely should be considered in the same stratosphere as Crosby and Malkin. Hell maybe even Spezza too.

everyone loves Karlsson.

but come on now, he's had one great year. let him do it at least twice before calling him a generational player.

Yep, dude is a great offensive defender. I don't buy him being the next elite, first ballot HOF'er though. Just like I don't buy PK or Letang being perennial PPG defenders.
