Now, the question is. Are you eager to make my bet?

I think Karlsson is a 65 point defender who had a magic season. I predict he'll score 65 points or less this season. So my bet offer is this. The same 50 bucks you offered, I'll take 65 and under, with a +/- of 2 points making it a wash. Basically if he scores 62 points or less, I win, 68 or more, you win and anything in the middle (as Karlsson scoring 67 points would ostensibly make my position correct...there is **** all difference between 67 and 65 points) is a wash.

I just entered this conversation halfway through ..... but if you stick with 62 points firm and make it 100, I will bet you.
I hate the sens, but that kid is special ..... with a healthy spezza, ryan ..... yup, 100 bucks on 62 points

Nope. I have no desire to see him get 63-64 points, which is a very nice offensive season for a defender but well short of this legendary expectation Sens fans throw around, ostensibly be correct, but lose 100 bucks.

According to the Sensfan talk about Karlsson, I'm being extremely generous by setting my bar at 65 points, I should be setting it higher considering the fact that I've been called crazy for not expecting him to be ~PPG this season.

That's a very fair bet.

What are the numbers for a Subban bet?
 
I've got him at 58 points, so a similar 2 +/- spread (anything 55 points or under, I win, 61 points or over, you win...56-60 points would be a wash) would be acceptable to me.

I'd do that. If we use pace... minimum 60gp or it's a wash as well. $50?

Nah, no pace. I'm already setting my expected scoring almost 20 points lower than his 2012-13 pace. Anyone who believes he's legitimately a Norris calibre offensive phenom takes 58 points and giggles.

Anyone who bets on a point total is a sucker. NHL has far to many injuries.
