Mike Babcock came to Toronto because they offered him a fucking bag, not because he felt they were going to win a cup.

If the leafs wanted Cassidy, they can easily be the highest bidder for him, and Cassidy would sign the fuck up for that. This is a ridiculous conversation.

Leafs just aren't overly horny for any single person at this stage. They want to speak to people to gauge the fit before they decide. And that's fine.
 
like there should be no way any human should prefer to move their family to edmonton instead of toronto for the next 5yrs, for less money, to coach a flawed roster whose best player might be gone in a year.

but if someone does prefer that, then i don't want them here anyways.
 
Gotta love the way the top job in the NHL is bashed to death like it would be the equivalent of cleaning out the horses' stalls.

It's the top market, the top job, the highest paying job, and would provide legendary status for even a mediocre level of success.

Literally every one of these candidates would kill for it. What are these idiots even talking about.
