I don't have time or the patience for players like that anymore. I also lose respect for coaches that enable them, which seems to be Tomlin's MO.

To be fair, he behind the scenes managed AB without the entire world seeing his crazy for apparently a long time. Sometimes people believe they can squeeze the talent out without it being too detrimental. The Steelers don’t currently have much of anything at WR so letting him go for free probably isn’t helpful to them.

@leafman101 with Johnson going to the Bears, it’s looking like The Jets may go with a GM/HC tandem of Lance Newmark & Aaron Glenn.

Newmark & Glenn overlapped in Detroit for a few years, before Lance took the assistant GM position with the Commanders. He was their Director of Player Personnel for the last handful of years and played a big role in the Lions drafts & free agencies.

….prior to that, he spent eons in the Lions org as a scout at various levels.

Biggest reason I am a fan:

Newmark previously oversaw the day-to-day operations of the Lions Football Information and Football Technology departments and served as the liaison between these departments and the Lions Player Personnel function

Hallaby was my top choice but I couldint take another scout that thought the GM job was just them watching college games to scout 1st round picks.
