The official NFL thread

That Vikings linebacker couldn't have been more than an inch and a half from tipping that TD pass. Great effort by him even if they scored the TD. Minnesota's D came to play tonight. This looks like the makings of a great game here.

The Bills are this years' Packers imo. THeir strong finish to the season last year with their good young talent was a sign of things to come.

Tarvaris Jackson with a whopping 6 yards passing in the first half. Oh boy. BAd QB play can ruin a good team very quickly.

Although I have no idea how they didn't call Al Harris with a pass interference call on the 60 yard pass to Berrian.. You could have charged Al Harris with rape on that one. And won in court

There is no way the Bills go 13-3........10-6 is their high watermark.

Yeah I don't know about 13-3, but I think they'll definitely make the playoffs. I just find similarities of how they ended the 07 season, to how Greenbay ended the 06' season.

No doubt, and I agree with you completely that they're a team to look out for.

They should be right in the thick of things with the Pats and Jets for the division lead.

I wouldn't go on end of season runs to judge a team.. Miami won 6 in a row at the end of 2005 and stunk the following year.. There have been many teams that go on late season runs that don't carry over.

I'm not saying the Bills won't do well this year, but I wouldn't just go by a run late in the year

In this instance though, I think even you'd agree that the Bills are a very solid team.

I think 9-7 or 10-6 is very likely for the Bills this year.

Karma is indeed a bitch, but I hate to see a guy of that caliber get hurt. Would you rather pull out a W against the Patriots with him in the game or on the IR?

a win is a win is a win

I'm sure you don't care that the last SB win by the Steelers was tainted by atrocious calls by the men in stripes

There were some bad calls and non calls in SB XL. I would love for you to show me a game in the regular season and the post season (yes even SB's) where there weren't controversial calls. Both sides had their fair share and if Holmgren and his band of merry whiners could run a two minute drill you wouldn't be bringing this up. They shat the bed on more than one occasion with piss poor clock management and play calling. Injuries happen in football, but I'd much rather beat or lose to a fully healthy great team than take some sort of comfort that they beat a backup who didn't even start in College. Thats just me though.

Last year's number 1 overall pick Jamarcus Russell looks awful out there tonight. Just terrible making elementary mistakes left and right.. Cutler though has looked awesome thus far.

He's got tons of talent, but he'll be getting no where near the looks he is tonight, once Marshall comes back.

No QB targeted one of their WR's more than Cutler did Marshall last year.

OH my God

instead of darth vader and scary halloween costumes in the stands, those raider fans oughta wear clown suits

or heck, just putting bags over their heads would do
