I like Gillis but not gonna pretend his resume is overwhelming either.
Progressiveness doesn't always = competent or that the best decisions are made. I just want a guy that thinks differently than the old boys club and values the things that create successful teams in the NHL (skill, uptempo style, sports science, etc). No one else out there is gonna have much of an interesting resume since they're largely picking between agms and nerds and understanding xgf does not = good gm, so in the absence of a guy with a clear elite resume, give me the guy with the clear and largely correct vision.It's not really his resume that I care for so much, moreso that his vision is to come in and tear down what I think we can all agree is a pretty shit organization. We need an enema and his plan would require us to have one.
Lombardi and Futa would be pretty solid imo.
