Re: To Tank or not to Tank, that is the question

It's not yet the end of January . . . and our season is essentially over . . . after we started 19-4-3. Excuse me? WTF? Just saying.

Re: To Tank or not to Tank, that is the question

I'm not quite ready for the tank mentality yet... but it's getting close.

Re: To Tank or not to Tank, that is the question

I tried this during the holidays:

How was it?

Re: To Tank or not to Tank, that is the question

Have you guys tried the Crown Royal Northern Harvest Rye that won best whiskey in the world last year? It's pretty good, and much cheaper than those expensive scotch, although I'm still not convinced it is truly the best whiskey from last year.

Re: To Tank or not to Tank, that is the question

I was just curious to see what the team would like after the deadline if we liquidate every players as suggested by some. I guess it would look something like this. Seems like a great recipe to get Matthews.

Max-AG-BG
Andrighetto-McCarron-Sherbak
Lessio-Hudon-Friberg
Dumont-Holloway-Bournival

Beaulieu-Subban
Barberio-Petry
Ellis-Pateryn
Dietz

The one thing that striked me was how we have absolutely no depth on the left side. Every single one of our defensive prospects is on the right side, Pateryn, Ellis, Dietz, Lernout, Juulsen.

When MB came in as GM, it was the opposite situation, ironic isn't it...

Carr would be in there after injury

Yeah. And that's the one thing I don't get about drafting Juulsen. Sure you don't draft for need but we already have Subban and Petry on the right as well as a number of prospects but we're completely bare on the left side. Wht draft another righty?

Hell, we might not even score a goal with that lineup

U can never have "too much talent" - cheap talent is worth its weight on the trade market, and cheap D is very valuable via the trade route. I just found it ironic.

I'm fine with it if Juulsen was truly the BPA, but there was report right after the draft that MB wanted to specifically draft a defenseman, in which case I find it weird that he would draft one that serves no need, especially when two left defenseman were drafted in the next 3 picks.
