Trade Deadline

and you just know that Sheldon will staple timmy to the bench so that in the event we do need him, he'll be rusty af

Any idea why Boosh has such decent nerdies in his few games with us? Just small sample size?

No defensive zone starts. Sheldon shelters Lilly, and Lilly gets about 15-16 per 60. Brodie gets our heavies at just under 19.

Boosh has 11.2/60 so far. Also a ton of "on the fly" starts which are almost always when the play is moving north. It's a mortal sin for defencemen to change during defensive transition situations.

This aggravates me even more tbh, because if you're going to use Rielly like they (you should...) you can multiple the positive effect by putting someone else who can make plays with him.

I try pretty hard to be as even keeled as possible and when everyone was freaking out about Dubas last deadline I was not but this seems like a five alarm fire to me. Someone else will have to step up and try to defend it.

Thank you because by the eye test I hated him. Felt like I was missing context

So I have a question, seeing how Vegas got Hanifin at 75% retained, are these exact deals also being offered to Toronto or is the sentiment that TO needs to pay a premium for such players?

This makes me sad, honestly. The one place where we should have a massive advantage on everyone else is the shit there's no cap on. There's zero excuse for us to not have the best, smartest people in the industry.

and we just don't.
We didn't even do a proper search for a GM. hired the first guy they spoke with.

I think the captain of the titanic just left the ships helm unmanned.

Based on the moves we made in the summer and continue to make at the deadline, my belief is that we just don't actually have a clue what we need. Or rather, management is convinced that our main issue is that we're not hard enough to play against.

Almost every move Pizza Boy has made since he took the job is aggressively anti analytic.

Having been through Bergevin you have my sympathies.
