Be Buffalo for a second...pass on a bunch of other really good forwards to take Mittelstadt. Rush him to the league at 20 to be junk for a bunch of season for reasons. When he finally gets good (just in time for a big contract!) you trade him for the only defender on the Avs who manages to get caved in on an elite team.

Fuck they're good.

They just turned their worst defender into a good 2C, and upgraded significantly on Byram for a 1st while dumping their worst salary.

Now Ross Colton goes from being an okayish 2C to a real gud 3C. Just compounding improvement through out the lineup now.

I get the bit about trading Mittelstadt. I brought this up earlier in the year when I mentioned how fucked Buffalo was with him, that he was probably asking for 7-8 million long term to extend, probably wasn't worth that but they were over a barrel, etc.

But yeah, this isn't it.
