Welcome to the Montreal Canadiens, David Reinbacher

Sure, but throughout my lifetime, due to the rivalry with Bawstun, HabsFans always had this aura of superiority over the BruinsFans because they were mouth breathing simpletons that loved fights more than they did hockey, while we loved the skill aspect of it as we point to Lafleur. But that's a crock of shit. HabsFans are no different, really. Sure, there are exceptions like those who post here, but outside of that?

That was your perception. I've known about these dirtbags since I was a teen.

Maybe I'm an eternal sunshine guy but I think the exception are those simpletons. None of the Habs fans I know would do stuff like that. And most Bruins fans I know are also reasonable and nice.

The NHL’s most passionate and rabid fan base. Team hasn’t had an offensive superstar in 40 years, hasn’t won a Cup in 30 years, and has a chance to draft Michkov. The consortium that actually owns the team, not the fake owner trust fund kid loser, is based in Toronto, and the co-head scouts both live in the U.S. Then you get a stay at home maybe top 2 d-man. The lperfect storm for the massive overreaction. Unfortunate for the kid.

Oh even the responses. I heard better out of Sarah Palin.

the innanet is the great equalizer

Upper management is clearly tone-deaf and clueless if they're actually surprised by the over-reaction of certain parts of the fanbase.
Do you really think more than a handful w Bruins nation or NYR nation gave a flying f*ck who they drafted or knew much about any prospect? That’s Gorton’s reference point …

Just like being able to sign any UFA he desired or get any player to waive his NTC/NMC for NYR - there was no PLD “I really want to play in Mtl….no actually LAK is my dream”

The Habs did have more skill players than the Bruins, but they also had John Ferguson and Gilles Lupien and Chris Nilan. And when I used to go to see the Habs play the Bruins at the Forum on a Saturday night I wasn't there for the finesse, I was there for the bloodshed. Yes, I wanted the Habs to win the game, but I also wanted to see Nilan or Kordic rearrange Jay Miller's face.

It's actually not, but by all means, continue.
It actually is and I shall carry on.

After game 1 of the finals (and only because I had nothing better to do that night) I didn't watch a minute of hockey. I've not even watched highlights. Haven't seen Bettman hand the Cup to whoever the captain of the Knights is, I don't know or care who won the Smythe. Why? Because I am indifferent to the Panthers and Golden Knights.

But I watched every second of the Leafs brief playoff run. Didn't miss any of it. Why? Because I hate them and it's important to me that they lose and that I am a witness to (and, if at all possible, the cause of) the suffering of their fans.

People who love or hate will watch. People who are indifferent will find better things to spend their time and money on.

Huh? Gorton attended last year’s draft at the Bell Centre, didn’t he? It was total mayhem apparently. If he wasn’t prepared then he’s a total moron.

You can’t ever possibly prepare for the Tsunami that is being the head of hockey ops for Habs.
