The New Division

Love that gif.

But seriously, working out outside? Ya, not a cocky guy at all.

Working out outside is the best way to make sure you have strong Achilles tendons. EK should take some notes.

By the way, love how both Habs and leaf fans have to make an Achilles comment to try and win an argument.

I guess that is expected when Karlsson pretty much matches the on pace production of your top forward...even on one Achilles.

He was the best dman in the league last year. If you don't believe that then that's fine. I have no need or desire to try to convince you.

I never asked for justification when Karlsson won even though he's horrible defensively and is marshmallowy soft.

Hey, if you want to pretend that it's not a concern going forward, have at it. He was clearly hampered by it during the playoffs and with the nature of achilles injuries, the effects could linger for a long time.

Fact of the matter is, between the two players, one of them has had 2 elite seasons in the last 2 years. The other one is coming off of a season where he suffered a very serious achilles injury and prior to that wasn't on the near PPG pace he was the year previous.

I'll take the picture show as a "no" to having some justification for Subbans PP award.

Justification? He was better than all the other D men last season. He was awarded the Subban Trophy. What justification do you have for your apparent blind hate and racist attitude?

Lots of athletes train outside. He was pulling those stacks of weights across the parking lot. It's pretty common.

Really? That's all they have? Why does he train outside? It was a photo shoot you ****ing tards.

Doesn't deserve the Vezina because he is prolific on the PP? Really? Douchetards.

When Subban lays out little Karl I'll smile. That is if Little Karl doesn't pull up which is his signature bitch move.

We've covered this. He wasn't. He won an award voted on by the same media members that we constantly deride.

Haters gonna hate.

I care about what Leaf and Sens fan decide through Corsi? Ah nope.

Subban... Norris.

Not sure why I'm going to bother with this, but whatever...

Karlsson's "1" elite season saw him win the Norris, scoring 78 points (79 point pace). Kessel, as a forward, just barely edged him out at PPG. Good for him.

Karlsson's follow up season saw him put up 6gls/10pts in 14 (13 really, because of the accident). That puts him at a 35gl/59pt pace. Add in the Sens #1 centre who they lost at the 5 game mark and I feel confident that Karlsson would have put up an extra few points and be right up at his 2011-2012 pace.

But wait a second, where was Kessel at the 14 game mark last season? 2gls/9pts for a 12gl/53pt pace. Hmm. Not all that elite at all. If he was the one to get severely injured would you have said that he wasn't going to have as good of a season anyways? Or would you comment on how he's been snake bitten, ect. I would wager you'd be in the later category.

Even funnier is that when Karlsson did turn super human and come back from injury, he ended up scoring at a 76 point pace...very similar to his 2011-2012 season...and all on one achilles. Of course, anyone watching would be able to see that he was physically limited, his ability to put up points is still best in the league.

Hell, his pace in the playoffs alone was 66pts compared to Kessel's 70pts. As a defenseman...with one leg.

You're hopes that he's going to turn into a shell of his former Norris self seem unfounded - and your suggestion that GM's would take Kessel above him is beyond laughable.

Ah. The racist card. Nice.

WHY was he the best D man last season? By virtually all metrics, he wasn't.
