OT: American Politics

heheheh.

http://www.mediaite.com/tv/youre-a-...hy-creator-goes-off-on-conservative-activist/

.....Suffice it to say, Sons of Anarchy screenwriter Kurt Sutter does not like conservative media activist and author Brent Bozell...

...Bozell’s piece criticized Sutter and his FX series Sons of Anarchy for “milk[ing] a fictional Catholic school shooting for commercial gain” despite Hollywood’s broad anti-gun sentiment following December 2012′s Newtown school shooting. According to Bozell, Sutter “made a complete fool of himself” by claiming the episode in question was not done for “shock,” but rather as part of the series’ slow development of consequences for its anti-hero biker gang.

In return, Sutter took to WhoSay to post the following letter:

Dear Mr. Bozell,

Yes, I often make a fool of myself, that’s the risk one takes for being outspoken and passionate about one’s creative freedom. And no, I don’t think everyone I meet is an idiot, that wouldn’t make sense. I do however think you are an idiot and your not-for-progress organization, idiotic.

Anyone with half-a-cup of brain cells can filter out the noise of your conservative bellowing and hear the truth – it’s all about your own political agenda. You are desperately trying to create a lobby that matters. But you cannot. And it ****ing kills you that after all these years, you and your hate club are still flaccid and impotent. And the reasons, sir, are quite obvious. You are not very bright, your message is archaic and loving parents can innately sense that the PTC has no heart and no real interest in the betterment of children.

You reek of McCarthyism and holy water. And right-minded folks can smell you coming a mile away.

So keep holding your non-attended press conferences and writing your little Fox blogs. Because with every post you solidify your true message: I’m just an angry white guy with an exclusionary plan, using fear and god to spread a gospel of ignorance.

And just so you have something to quote from this, to work up the four other members, tell them that the tattoo-covered, liberal freak who writes that baby-killing, urine dunking show, said this: “You’re a pathetic ****ing douchebag and I bet your own kids ****ing hate you.”

Godspeed.
ks

It's kinda striking how much your own little screeds sound like that one.

-you're a lunatic and a moron
-you're a hateful right wing troglodyte
-everyone hates you
-my own $hit don't stink

Lather. Rinse. Repeat.

I know people don't really care anymore but the shenanigans going on in the senate today are fricken hilarious. Bunch of ****ing nutters.

Ted Cruz radio ad:
Obamacare is the BIGGEST threat to jobs this nation has ever seen! It is FORCING people out of work or into part time low-wage jobs. It's causing millions to lose their employer benefits entirely, and then forcing them to pay, out of their own pocket, for Obamacare.
This is our last chance to stop Obamacare. Sign the online petition to de-fund Obamacare today!
I printed that on my laser, shredded the paper into my garden, and I had several Orange trees in just a few hours! Never heard so much horseshit in 30secs in my entire life!

It's not full of shit. I sold out because I didn't want to deal with Obamacare and owners I know are limiting hours to not have to deal with it either.

Keep thinking small business people won't do what they can to save the money. You'd be wrong.

Re: OT: Canadian Politics

Here is something about the great Trudeau....

I was watching a documentary about the Canadian involvement on the Iranian hostage situation. Trudeau was pressing Clarke and our foreign minister for a hard line statement about Iran right in the middle of us trying to get the Americans out. I knew he did that then but I now know that Trudeau KNEW about the ongoing attempt to get the American out. He was briefed by Clarke early on and yet, every day, he demanded that the government make hard line statements about Iran. Basically, trying to sabotage the rescue to make Clarke look bad.

I knew Trudeau was an arragoant, self-absorbed a-hole, but I didn't know to what gapping size he was until tonight.

This is what I've said since day one. But just like the clowns here have conclusively determined what everyone immediately thought about the Ottawa bus crash, they've decided they know for sure how American business owners will respond to harpycare.

We've discussed the fairly unique slot where Habsy's business size falls under before. nothing new.

as for what you've said from day one, we can all read krauthammer ourselves to get your opinion before you know it yourself.

http://swampland.time.com/2013/09/24/obama-and-rouhani-a-handshake-that-could-shake-the-world/

.....Obama came to New York on Monday to push agenda items ranging from civil society to Syria’s chemical weapons. But those topics have been overshadowed by possibility—discussed endlessly on Monday here in Manhattan by everyone from diplomats to reporters to senior government officials—of whether he might make the first contact between a U.S. president and an Iranian leader since Iran’s 1979 revolution. On Monday, White House officials would only say that Obama was open to such a meeting, but that none was planned.

The very idea would have been ludicrous as recently as last year’s U.N. confab, when Iran was still led by its last president, the combative Mahmoud Ahmadinejad. He turned his visits to the U.N.’s annual gatherings in New York as an opportunity for noxious Holocaust denialism and anti-American broadsides that sent western diplomats marching out of his speeches in protest. More importantly, the Iranian regime—whose agenda is set by its Supreme Leader, Ali Khamenei—showed little interest in striking a deal with the west over its steady progress towards nuclear weapons capability.

Since Iran’s June presidential election, however, Tehran’s tone has changed. The country’s new president, Hassan Rouhani, has not-so-implicitly contrasted himself with Ahmadinejad, and speaks of “a path for negotiations and moderation” that might relieve international sanctions that are crippling Iran’s economy. He has tweeted kind words about Jews at a time of fear that Iran’s nuclear program—which its leaders deny is meant for military purposes—poses a mortal threat to Israel. And his government has released dozens of political prisoners in an apparent signal of reform and openness. Even more important, Khamenei, successor to the infamous Ayatollah Ruhollah Khomeini, has shown clear support for a new diplomatic push; last week he endorsed “heroic leniency” in Iran’s diplomacy.

“There’s something really interesting going on here,” says Kenneth Pollack of Brookings Institute, a former CIA Middle East analyst and author of a new book on Iran. “We should’t dismiss this as just words.”

Pollack notes that Bill Clinton came close to an encounter with then-Iranian president Mohammed Khatami at the United Nations in 2000. At the time, Khatami was seeking better relations with the west, and Clinton was open to the meeting. Elaborate scheduling changes allowed the two men to wind up in the same room, but an actual encounter never happened—thanks to hardliners in Iran who opposed it. If Rouhani is able to pull off some direct contact with Obama, it would be a sign not only of his own thinking but of the domestic political climate in Iran....

How annoying are ads that contain capitalized words? You know it's pure propaganda when you see capitalized words in an ad that already contains a negative message/tone.
