The New Division

I cracked the numbers a few months ago and gave varying levels of possibility depending on each save percentage projection. Ottawa might allow as many as 40-50 more goals in 2013-14 than they were averaging over 82 games last season.

Sens are on pace to allow 268 goals this season.

They were on pace to allow 177 last year during the lock-out shortened season. I was wrong... they're on pace to allow 91 more goals. :lol

Luck in terms of injuries will play a role.

Talent at key positions and depth will play a bigger role if injuries are at a reasonable level.

The talent at key positions includes the best goaltending tandem in the conference.

Thoughts? Go nuts.

JVR and Bozak stand out to me as pretty damn low.

Nice call.

I think that a healthy Michalek, Spezza, Karlsson + the addition of Bobby Ryan and the hopeful progression of Zibanejad and Turris will give this team more than enough punch to be able to compete with a goaltending tandem that in all likelihood posts a .925%+ campaign.

Heh. The Sens are a legitimate contender for the division title?

Only a biased fool would think otherwise.

Thanks for chiming in biased fool.

If Anderson gets hurt the Sens still have one of the top goalies in the conference.

The Sens scoring depth will take off this year with the big guns drawing the top defensive assignments. They made the playoffs last year with all their stars out and go better in the process.

There are plenty of reasons everyone but the biased fools have them coming in ahead of the leafs and habs.

I guess everyone except Sensible is a biased fool.
