OT: Movies/TV Shows

Started watching Hannibal again. Still can't believe NBC ever aired that show.

Man that is one tense show, it leaves me completely stressed out. Love it.

I know, it is amazing this show has been on Network TV for the last 3 years. It is fantastic.

You are right, very tense, not something to watch just before going to bed.

The producers are still confident they will get picked up by another network once season 3 is finished. They have a big plan for season 4. A plan they were not allowed to share with perspective networks because season 3 is still ongoing on NBC. Apparently the finale of season 3 will make it clear where they are headed. Bryan Fuller wants to pitch networks again once they see the finale. Fuller has also talked about potentially doing a Sherlock type mini series for Hannibal or even a movie.

How far along are you into season 3?

Didn't realize Donny Yen was cast in Star Wars Rogue One, he's one of my all time favourite HK action stars. I am getting pretty amped for what they're doing with this franchise. Should be fun.

Donny Yen for reference...

I am pumped for Rogue One for sure, hell, all the Star Wars.

I know some people will say too much Star Wars, but, in my opinion you can never have too much Star Wars. There are so many untold stories in the Star Wars universe, some were touched on in the books, but it is wide open to do so many good things. Such as this one.

The Ip Man movies are ****ing legit.

If they break out anything remotely close to what he's capable of in hand to hand, there's the potential for some awesome fight scenes.

I think I first saw him as a baddie in one of Jet Li's Once Upon a Time in China series. And you could tell even then he had the chops.

I agree with KingBrodeur, can't have too much star wars. They've created a universe and I can't get enough of all its gritty little secrets.

Agree you can't have too much Star Wars ... it's in fact amazing that they've created such a complete and exciting universe, and only made 6 movies out of it thus far. It's just not nearly enough.

BTW I dunno how but I somehow never watched "Miracle" (story about Herb Brooks and the 1980 Olympics US hockey miracle) before ... I guess it's because I thought it's one of those American flag waving movies. Turns out it's a pretty good sports movie, and an amazing movie for any hockey fan.

Just look at the amount of screen time that's been dedicated to the "Star Trek" universe. 12 feature films so far, with a 13th slated to be released next year. And then 5 TV series, with a combined total of 701 episodes. By comparison, they've barely even scratched the surface when it comes to "Star Wars".
