I'm sure there is some of that, but luck man...luck. To walk away from head trauma like that with such a relatively minor injury is massively lucky. Injuries are weird man, apply that same force an inch to the left and maybe its career ending, an inches to the right and maybe he gets up under his own power and plays the next game.

Even just a relatively light skate like that will tell us quite a bit. If he is back out there tomorrow even at that same pace, he's in good shape for a return in the semi near future
