Around the League 2019-2024 Edition

I think Babs could probably help Wpg a lot more than Edm.

Babs would just play the stars less in Edmonton and that's the only good part of them. And he'd get a goalie in Wpg.

Both teams need defensive structure more than they need anything else and judging by how quickly we developed structure after his firing, I don't know if he's the guy to bring it to them. Funny enough, Boudreau would have been an awesome get for either team.

True. I think Edmonton also needs depth and a better goalie on top of that.

I would laugh so hard if Edmonton fans get pumped for Babs and then realize the guy who gave Auston 18 minutes in Game 7 won't play McDavid 25+ every night.

Edmontons forward depth isnt horrible though. You can build a legit top 9 out what they have. They're not a top tier team but they shouldn't be bubble either. The goaltending is also averagish when healthy I think.

The blue line is a different matter imo and just doesn't defend well at all.

Caufield still only has one goal eh.

He's not going to shoot 2% forever....but the NHL is real hard and expecting a good but only just good skill midget to excel from day 1 would be unfair.

Top of the mountain for him is probably a debrincat type player but he's a fair bit off of that early career pace right now obviously

On the downside, he wins the Caufield vs. Robertson debate so far purely on the basis that he’s capable of playing professional hockey for more than 10 seconds without breaking any bones or blowing out any ligaments.

Yeah but we weren’t in the business of destroying young players. They’re probably still annoyed that he didn’t outright bust like Mccarron. This one will take some more effort.
