The Fucking Season Thread - Redemption Tour '22

Agree I don't think he'll be fired. But if they eventually do fire him they're not gonna go back to another nerd. Firing dubas is firing a forward thinking data-centric approach to roster construction. They'll get one of the recycled old school guys that command "respect."
That's my expectation and my fear.

I think Keefe should be a goner first. especially if you're talking "respect"

I get Anglo Therrien vibes from him. I think the team can do better.
Tough to fire a guy who so far has put up one of the best winning percentages in history.

Also tough to trade away players who have propelled the team to finish better than any prior iteration in the franchise's history.

And very tough to trade away that GM that put all those players and pipeline in place.

If this team loses, there's no good answer as to what to do next, other than just run it the fuck right back for another turn, with a few further tweaks. That's the difficulty of things. But yeah, if they had to do one of the three things above, I'd sacrifice Keefe before the players or GM and blame the premature exits on him and hope his successor can get them over the hump.

It's gonna be two 50+ win, 110+ point teams playing each other and I'm guessing MLSE has made a shitload of money so... hard to think of a scenario where people are shown the door.

Standing room tix @ centre ice at the very back of the rink used to be like $40 and I used to go all the time. Like BG said, really awesome for seeing the whole play develop.

I've sat on the glass before, it was a cool experience but not as good for seeing the play.

Awesome video.
the worst seats in the house are usually the ones close to the glass

like you said - cool experience but meh

my favourite spot is row 1 in the upper deck - nobody blocking my view and i can see the whole play

I sat courtside once at a Raps game...amazing experience (when some 7 ft trunk doesn't block your view) but spent most of the game not knowing who was winning

Firing anyone after winning the cup would be dumb.

I do find it funny how Keefe is never mentioned in Adams conversations yet we see names like Gallant, Sullivan, McClellan etc

Meanwhile he coached them to a top 4 finish with bottom feeder goaltending for 75% of the season
and no forward, goalie, or D depth, according to the media

you are probably right

when I lived in DC I feel like I paid $60 per seat for these. dunno if I will ever find a better deal on tix.

Fuck, can’t say stuff like this. The leafs have been magic at finding new ways to show us how we can be disappointed 😂
