Tkachuk's their best forward and he hasn't been heard from much these first two games. That could change.
Though you could say the same about Matthews. And both guys are probably injured.

I had my first softball game of the season tonight. I did a half-decent job of doing a "media blackout". Heard about the Panthers taking a 2-1 lead, but that was about it.
Boy, did the Leafs show some resolve tonight. Come back after come back. Chief has this team playing playoff hockey and not folding.
Woll did just enough to win this game, and you know what? You can win that way. When Woll needed to make a big stop, he did. I wish he wouldn't let in some bad goals, but he did the job!
As of today, are the Leafs the best team in the NHL? Who else is playing their best hockey right now?
The Core 4 are doing their job, and their defense is outstanding.

Watched most of the Sens series and can't say I was impressed, though they looked a lot more composed. Expected a 4-1 FLA series win honestly. After these two games though it seems clear that it's a very different team this year. They don't even need their superstars to be superstars either---though Willie stepping up big as usual has been essential, and I feel like Marner has been better this year. Seems like we are seeing the coach effect up close.

For a $10m goalie it is pretty funny that Bob has been over .910 just twice in the last 6 years. I don't think he's bad and he could be better than this... But to say he's elite has been a very big stretch since probably the 2017-2018 season. He's just not that guy anymore.

I mean, for the longest time, that contract was widely considered one of the biggest albatrosses in the league. It’s only Bob getting his shit together long enough for one successful playoff run that changed the narrative.
On the balance though, in his time in Florida he’s been shit or mediocre far more often than he’s been good.
