Wha?
Game management is a thing and it's not going away. take more penalties and you'll draw more penalties. the numbers actually support that conclusion
Wha?
no argument here, I've wanted Shanny gone for awhile. he is the head of the octopus, as they say.So this can be both fair and unfair IMO
Most of the stink around Berube is positive and he just got here, and if you are going to commit to his very boring shitty brand, you might as well give him the guys required to excel in it.
Or just pull the plug on him and start over with him as a one and done? I dunno.
The fuck up was allowing Shanahan to fire Dubas and allow Tre to hire Berube.
Now, if Shanahan goes the new guy enters a situation with a GM/coach that have done mostly positive things and he needs to wait at least a year to bring in his own things. Which is probably why Tre is just promoted.
Ass backwards.
Shanahan, Dubas, Keefe should have all went at once.
is this chart sorted by any of the columns?
Literally the dumbest strategy ever if it means embracing awful and unnecessary penalties taken at the worst time every time by this guy.Game management is a thing and it's not going away. take more penalties and you'll draw more penalties. the numbers actually support that conclusion
2 things can be true
Marner can be scapegoated because its very easy to do, and the team is assuredly worse with whoever replaces him
Marner is soft and needs to go

I keep asking this, because it's actually important. Worse when?
We have a big enough sample now of who Mitch Marner is in the playoffs that is the answer to my question is "in the playoffs", well...fucking no.
Yes, we're not going to find a 90-100 point 2 way winger to replace him. But we absolutely might find a 70 point 2 way winger, and then use the 6-7 million less that guy is going to cost to upgrade 2-3 other positions so that on aggregate, the team is better or even much better when it actually matters.
Regular season worse. Ideally playoff better.I keep asking this, because it's actually important: Worse when?

I would love it to be true that Mitch is the one who is ruining Matthews in the playoffs.
That might be the most convincing argument/gamble for me to let him go for nothing.

not if you have exceptional special teamsLiterally the dumbest strategy ever
